But you’re still in the grand, exuberant City of Gold, so chances are you have the desire to see some of the other amazing sights and sounds that this city has to offer outside of your hotel room, right?

Go See The Burj Khalifa At Night
The best way to see the tallest building in the world after the Internet 2.0 Conference is from one of the several observation decks, where you can have a 360-degree view of the cityscape.
After that, head up during sunset for spectacular views of the sun setting over the Persian Gulf. You’ll have a great photo opportunity when you’re standing under that enormous frame!
There are also plenty of restaurants if you want to grab dinner before or after your visit. Reserve your table ahead of time if fine dining is on your agenda! You’ll find that almost all international chains have locations here.
A Gastronomical Delight
With its diverse population, there are a variety of cuisines to choose from after the technology conference’s sessions end for the day.
With Dubai’s location on the Persian Gulf, seafood is definitely something you’ll want to try. Al Hoota Grill and Restaurant has everything from chicken kebabs to shrimp dishes. Al Bastakiya is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Dubai and is known for its rich history, traditional wind towers, and narrow alleyways. The area was once home to many of Dubai’s wealthy pearl merchants, and today, it houses several museums, art galleries, cafes, and shops. Walking around Al Bastakiya after attending Day 2 of our post-COVID technology event can provide a peek into how life used to be for locals living in this old district.
If you’re feeling adventurous, take a walk down the nearby Souk Madinat Jumeirah. There are more than 100 stores selling everything from crafts to fine jewelry. Keep an eye out for hand-made lamps fashioned out of recycled Coca-Cola bottles and beautiful carpets made by Iranian craftsmen with knots so tight they seem impossible to unravel.
Night Cruise On The Dubai Creek
The Dubai Creek is a historic waterway that runs through the city. A night cruise is a great way to see the city from a different perspective and get a taste of the local culture. The boats are traditionally decorated with musicians serenading the diners with live music.
You can also revel in the sights of the breathtaking city skyline as you cruise down the creek after exchanging business cards with fellow technologists at the networking sessions of 2022’s premier post-COVID tech event.
All in all, it’s a romantic evening out for couples or groups looking for something other than your typical tourist attraction. The sail takes about an hour and includes dinner, Arabic music, Arabic dancers, refreshments, and guided commentary by an experienced crew member.

The Dubai Fountain Show is the world’s tallest performing fountain that is choreographed to various songs, including classical and modern pop hits.
After Day 1 of the IT conference in Dubai, position yourself on the promenade in front of the Burj Khalifa, at the base of the Burj Khalifa, or from one of the many restaurants and hotels with a view of the fountain to be spell bounded.
However, sitting on a boat while watching this attraction is a definite must-do! The show starts at 6:00 pm and wows its captivated audience with a beautiful display of music and light every half an hour.
Overnight Desert Safari
If you want to experience the real Middle East, sign up for an overnight desert safari after the final day of the technology conference! A 4x4 will take you right into the heart of the Arabian Desert.
Once you’ve reached your campsite, you can enjoy a traditional meal, go for a camel ride, or simply relax under the stars. The following day, you’ll watch the sun rise over the dunes before heading back to catch your flight. Quite an unforgettable experience!
